Our Objectives
The days are planned so that children will :
The academic year is divided into two terms. April - Oct. and Nov. - March. Summer break, Diwali break and a short christmas/winter break are given. The dates of these breaks, various evaluations done throughout the year etc. are intimated to the parents and are also mentioned in the school diary which lists out the complete programme for the year.
Though we prepare children for the CBSE Examination, our thrust is on the all-round development of the personality. Life skills, projects assignments, hands-on experience, learning by doing educational field trips etc. all enrich the educational experience and make it a meaningful one. Our curriculum is designed to prepare children to face the challenges of life with confidence. Therefore our thirst is to create a cosmopolitan culture which helps in giving a competitive edge to our students. English is the medium of instruction of and we offer Hindi and Sanskrit as the second and the third languages.
ST. Thomas School is following the pattern & syllabus of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CBSE syllabus provides wonderful opportunities to bring out best in a student in this competitive world. This enables the students to compete at national and inter-national level.
One who is not familiar to the computers is most handicapped today’s age. The school has a computer lab with 15 latest computers and internet facility, which is accessible to the students.
“BOOKS ARE THE BEST FRIEND OF A MAN”. So we aid to incubate the habit of reading in every child. We provide a library with books on variety of subjects to develop their vocabulary and speaking skills.
